Marc graduated from Marinello’s School of Beauty where he
won his first award in a hairstyling competition. He then studied advanced
haircutting under the guidance of London’s famed John and Suzanne Chadwick
while working at Glemby International. He continued studies at Vidal Sassoon’s
Advanced Haircutting Academy in San Francisco under the personal guidance of “
International Artistic Director” Christopher Brooker, and Robert Edel, both
original “Sassoon Team” members. His other training over the years includes the
Sebastian Academy in L.A., courses with Trevor Sorbie of London, Horst, Paul
Mitchell and Yosh. After opening his own salon in 1978 he represented “Shear
Power International” as a regional haircutting educator for whom he introduced
Toni & Guy of London’s first appearance on the west coast at the Long Beach
Hairdresser’s Guild hair show. This led to a successful “Support Salon”
relationship with Toni & Guy for several years. He has won first place
awards for haircutting in all of the major competitions on the west coast,
which led to being invited as a guest judge for these competitions in
subsequent years. He was the “Official Hairdresser” to the Miss California
Pageant and styled Miss California’s Shari Ann Moscou for the Miss America
Pageant. His work has been published in various styling magazines, some of
which he was the photographer. He currently focuses his efforts on running his
salon and serving his clients with great haircuts and the very finest hair care
available. |
